Bible Class

Class Needs & Expectations

Grace is not a substitue for goodness. Grace is the way to goodness!

--Jack W. Provonsha

Welcome

Welcome to Bible class. While this class is often just called "Bible", we will also practice moral reasoning, go over ethical dilemmas, and practice making religion real. Throughout the year we will strive to keep our focus Christ-centered Using Scripture as a guide. We will try to apply what we learn to our life right now. Some of this will be new to you and some of it familiar. This outline will explain the expectations for the year as we embark on our study of God.

Bible Class Needs

1)

Bible

Absolute MUST. Can/will be provided for you at cost if you can not get one. i suggest an alternative to KJV or NKJV (like the TEV or NCV) but NO paraphrases (Living Bible paraphrase, or Clear Word)

2)

Personal/Professional Study Guide

(otherwise known as an expen$ive Textbook) You're going to be lost with out this.

3)

Notebook specifically for BIBLE

3 ring binder to keep all material and notes. All exams, quizzes, journal pages, notes are handed back and become FAIR GAME for FUTURE TESTS!! Beware! This Notebook will become increasingly valuable as the year goes on. Use Notebook paper for binder (no tear out kind).

4)

Pen/Pencil

seems obvious, but you'ld be amazed how many times people come to class without one of these!

5)

Hole Punch

Not required but will prove to be handy for putting papers into the 3 ringbinder.

6)

Sense of Humor and an open mind

Also, not required, i suppose, but an extremely good asset none the less.
