Where our beliefs come from

1 John 4:7-8Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. A lot of the main part about Christianity is that we do things out of love for God, putting trust in him even without physical proof of him.

John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” The story of Jesus Christ is a known one, a man that went against the religious authority of his people and was crucified for it, sacrificing himself to save us so that we would not be lost forever. The Father loved us so much that he was willing to offer His Son to us, so that our future would be secured.

Galatians 5:22, 25-26 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.” The attitude of a real Christian is to share the love that God has for us with other people, to reflect the values through our actions, and that is the inspiration we receive from the Holy Spirit.

Mark 12:28-31 “One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, ‘Of all the commandments, which is the most important?’ ‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.’” These verses show the importance of love as a Christian concept, how God as a Father takes care of His children and all He wants in return is our pure love.

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When we accept God’s forgiveness and He helps us to confess and repent, we are forgiven and covered with Jesus’ righteousness.

John 8:12,15-16 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. But if I do judge, my decisions are true because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.” Jesus knows that we judge on the outside, but he looks at the inside along with God the Father. By knowing and taking the time to understand Jesus, we may then come to know God the Father as well.

Mark 8: 22 - 26 They came to Bethesda, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” Once more, Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were open, and his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. Jesus sent him home saying, “Don’t even go into the village.” Jesus goes at our pace. He doesn’t rush his forgiveness and healing. He meets us where we’re at and goes with us.

Core Belief- The End of Evil (unique to Seventh Day Adventism) “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.” 1 Timothy 6:16 God is the only one with immortality, so people’s souls can’t be immortal so they will eventually die, this means they will not be in hell for eternity

“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:”Genesis 3:22 God guarded the tree of life so that Adam and Eve would not eat it and live forever after they had become sinners.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:1,4

“Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.” Ezekiel 28:18-19 The King of Tyre from this passage represents Satan. Satan will be no more.
